Four Things: Shows I Always Watch

Scrubs

Scrubs seems a little crazier this season. Some fans are worried it’s going to jump the shark soon. I doubt it. I’ve enjoyed this season more than the third and fourth.

The Office

Kevin is the greatest TV character in recent memory. My uncle hates the show, but he’s British. That has nothing to do with anything. It’s selling well on iTunes. Fantastic acting.

Arrested Development

I don’t know anyone who has seen at least a few episodes of the show that doesn’t like it. Arrested Development has become a member of the Stuff I Watch Over and Over Before Bed Club, joining the ranks of Family Guy, Chris Rock: Bring the Pain, some Sinbad recording, Honey We Shrunk Ourselves, Honey I Blew Up the Kid, Ace Ventura 2: When Nature Calls, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, and Rookie of the Year,

Gilmore Girls

My brother used to always beg me to join him on Tuesdays at 8pm. When he went off to college he always wanted to have me on the phone while we watched together. Not true. I used to see the last five minutes during its second season. I had to make sure not to miss a single second of Smallville because I might 1) not be able to participate in, essentially, high school water cooler talk or 2) die.

I used to think, “Who the hell watches this?” Now I know: manly men who use Old Spice body wash because “It Won’t Wash Away the Testosterone.”

Hunting shows, football, Ultimate Fighter, anything else that will offset the unmanliness of Gilmore Girls

Give Gilmore Girls a chance. I recommend the second half of season two and the first half of season three. Those episodes matter the most.
