Reviews have a lot to do with expectations, and mine were high since City of God is probably my favorite foreign movie. City of Men doesn’t live up to those expectations. It’s sort of unfair to make the comparison because City of Men is decent. There’s less action and the humor isn’t as sharp. It’s sort of slow, but again that might be because of my expectations. Wait for it on DVD. I’m sounding like a real Debbie Downer on this right now.
